UNIVERSITY MASTER IN EUROPEAN UNION

The European Union project is a true success story. Never before has any international organization achieved such a deep level of integration and such a solid and comprehensive institutional system. Today, the European Union’s competences cover a wide range of areas, and its actions affect countless aspects of our daily and professional lives.

For this reason, the Master’s Degree in European Union Studies offers a comprehensive vision of the EU—covering its historical development, current challenges, and future prospects.

OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES

The Master’s Degree in European Union Studies is a joint program of the Royal Institute of European Studies, chaired by Jaime Mayor Oreja and designated as a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence by the European Commission, together with the Ortega-Marañón Institute. Launched in 2010, it is an official master’s degree program, fully recognized throughout Spain and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

The program provides students with specialized training to analyze European integration from a multidisciplinary perspective: historical, political, economic, legal, and social. Its approach is highly practical, emphasizing participation, case studies, and both group and individual projects.

Another distinctive feature is the flexibility of study formats, as the program can be completed either on campus or online.
